Who we are

Information you give us
- Contact form. Your name, email, phone number (optional), what you need, details about your project, budget, timeline, your message, and the page you sent it from. It is emailed to us and saved in our website’s database so your request doesn’t get lost.
- Chat assistant. The messages you type into the chat on our site. If you leave your name, email or phone number in the chat, we receive it so we can follow up.
- Comments. If you comment on a post, we collect your name, email, any website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser details to help catch spam.
- Email and phone calls. If you email or call us, we receive what you send or say. If a call is answered by our AI receptionist, it tells you at the start that the call is recorded, and we receive a recording, a transcript and a summary of the call.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are, what device they use and how they found us. We look at this in aggregate to improve the site. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Security and server logs. Our web host and security tools record IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to protect the site from attacks and spam.
- Embedded videos. YouTube videos on our site only load when you click play. After that, YouTube may set cookies under Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising
Some pages on this site show ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. How long we keep it
We keep inquiries, messages and call records for as long as we need them to respond to you and keep normal business records, then delete them. Published comments stay up until they are removed. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@builtbybuit.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, and we will honor requests as the law requires.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS, a security plugin and limited account access to protect information. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information like passwords or card numbers through our forms or chat.
Client projects
If we build or run software for your business, such as an AI receptionist that answers your calls, how we handle that data is covered by our agreement with you. This policy covers the builtbybuit.com website.
